What is it?
Natural law is an ethic that states there should be a body of unchaining moral principles regarded as a basis for all human conduct. It tells us it is better to have set of rigid rules, by which everyone must abide , as the world would become a much better place with a structure to live by. It allows no flexibility from situation to situation, as morals come from reason and so if something is justifiable, it would follow the rules.
What they would say?
People who follow natural law, would completely forbid the trip from taking place. They believe in a set structure from day to day life, with no twists and unexpected surprises. The idea of heading out into a journey of the unknown would completely defy their moral principles. They might believe that the astronauts are, in effect, going to their deaths and therefore are doing something against the 'universal set of laws'.
